Ação de Voluntariado: Biodiversidade à nossa porta
Registrations now open for “Biodiversity at our doorstep” in Coimbra
On 13 June, between 09:30 and 13:30, we will be at the Ribeira and Urban Forest of Vale das Flores, in Coimbra, for a morning dedicated to urban biodiversity.
The volunteering initiative “Biodiversity at our doorstep”, integrated within the programme “Coimbra Embraces Biodiversity”, invites the community to take part in several hands-on activities focused on the nature that exists all around us in urban environments, and on its importance for human well-being and ecosystem health.
Throughout the morning, participants will be able to join activities on:
invasive plant control, ecological monitoring of the stream, pollinator observation and nest construction, as well as seed sowing and planting.
Each activity will last 45 minutes and sessions will take place at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30.
Participation is free, but registration is mandatory until 10 June.
