Quantum computation for graph and network problems | Ciclo de Palestras: Tecnologias Quânticas

O terceiro evento realiza-se no dia 9 de dezembro de 2024 (segunda-feira) às 18h00, com título "Quantum computation for graph and network problems", por Bruno Coutinho (Instituto de Telecomunicações, Lisboa).

Sobre a palestra:

This talk provides an introduction to quantum computation for graph and complex network problems. Bruno will present how quantum approaches can be utilized in complex network theory and applications, showcasing his research on quantum-based link prediction and quantum walk simulations in complex systems. These methods offer alternative computational strategies for network analysis in fields ranging from social networks to biological systems.

Sobre o palestrante:

Bruno Coutinho received his PhD from Northeastern University (Boston) in 2016 and is currently a researcher at the Institute of Telecommunications in Lisbon. His research explores the intersection of complex network theory and quantum information, with expertise in quantum walks and quantum networking. His current work focuses on quantum technologies for network science, including entanglement distribution over complex systems and quantum algorithms for network analysis.
